Steve and Joanna Upperton are the proud owners of four thriving flooring businesses in the South West that they've built up over the last five years. As a family-run company, they value tradition and place their customers at the forefront of their operations.
Our client has showrooms in both Devon and Somerset - The Ottery Flooring Company in Ottery St Mary, Buckfast Carpets & Interiors in Buckfastleigh, Arditti Carpets in Taunton and the Flooring Department at Austins in Newton Abbot.
Running multiple businesses certainly keeps them busy, and trying to manage their social media pages on their own just wasn’t feasible. Fortunately, Steve and Joanna knew exactly who to turn to for help. Having previously worked on their pages before in another role, they reached out to Social Vixen when we first set up in December 2022, requesting that we handle their pages for three of their four businesses both on Facebook and Instagram. We also ensure that all content is created with the right tone of voice, making it engaging and relatable to their target audience. As a result, their social media pages have become more visually appealing, attracting the attention of potential customers.
Strategic use of hashtags: We continually research and utilise relevant hashtags to increase their reach and attract new followers to their pages.
Interacting with followers: We actively engage with their followers by promptly responding to comments and creating content that connects with them. Our approach is tailored based on insights gathered over months of experimentation.
Following the right people: Through careful research, their pages are following the right accounts, from those who are in their industry, but also interior designers and suppliers.
Monthly reporting: We also provide our client with monthly reports to give them a clear picture of what's working and what needs tweaking. These reports help us determine the content we'll be focusing on together in the coming month. By analysing the data together, we can make informed decisions and keep our content strategy on point with the changing preferences of their target audience. It's all about working together to ensure we're hitting the right mark.
After just five months of managing this client's social media pages, we have achieved remarkable milestones through our close collaboration with Steve and Joanna. Together, we have accomplished the following:
Increased social media following: Collectively, their social media pages saw a surge in followers, with a whopping 200 new followers on Instagram alone over the past 90 days.
Higher engagement rates: Their engagement rates have skyrocketed, with one of their Facebook posts reaching an impressive 28,000 people. The best part? This was all organic growth and not even a paid ad.
Increased sales: Our client has reported an increase in enquiries and sales, with customers mentioning recent Facebook posts in-store and purchasing products as a result.
